We are out of money

FINALLY! I wonder if this means he will quit spending?

WE’RE OUT OF MONEY
Sat May 23 2009 10:32:18 ET
In a sobering holiday interview with C-SPAN, President Obama boldly told Americans: “We are out of money.”
C-SPAN host Steve Scully broke from a meek Washington press corps with probing questions for the new president.
SCULLY: You know the numbers, $1.7 trillion debt, a national deficit of $11 trillion. At what point do we run out of money?
OBAMA: Well, we are out of money now. We are operating in deep deficits, not caused by any decisions we’ve made on health care so far. This is a consequence of the crisis that we’ve seen and in fact our failure to make some good decisions on health care over the last several decades.
So we’ve got a short-term problem, which is we had to spend a lot of money to salvage our financial system, we had to deal with the auto companies, a huge recession which drains tax revenue at the same time it’s putting more pressure on governments to provide unemployment insurance or make sure that food stamps are available for people who have been laid off.
So we have a short-term problem and we also have a long-term problem. The short-term problem is dwarfed by the long-term problem. And the long-term problem is Medicaid and Medicare. If we don’t reduce long-term health care inflation substantially, we can’t get control of the deficit.
So, one option is just to do nothing. We say, well, it’s too expensive for us to make some short-term investments in health care. We can’t afford it. We’ve got this big deficit. Let’s just keep the health care system that we’ve got now.
Along that trajectory, we will see health care cost as an overall share of our federal spending grow and grow and grow and grow until essentially it consumes everything…

Wow, he finally got the hint. After spending more money than all of the presidents since our country became a country, The Appointed one has come to the conclusion he has spent too much.

It only took him 4 months to do it. It could take us 30 years to pay it back, meanwhile he will sit back on his tush and enjoy the rest of his life, at the tax payer’s expense. He says we are out of money but not due to decisions on health care. Yeah, he hasn’t touched health care yet. He’s too busy bailing out the unions. He still plans to raise taxes, ie the cap and trade carbon taxes, and that will cover the costs of his healthcare reform, which will continue to destroy our standings in the world. I used to be that the US Dollar was the gold standard. We defined the meaning of excellent credit. Word has it, we are about to lose our AAA credit rating, one of only nine countries in the world to have that rating. Thank you Obama, you have come to our country, organized thieves and cheats to put you into the office of the most powerful man in the world, and destroyed the credibility of that seat, all within four months. Neither Clinton, Carter, nor Nixon was able to do that. Enjoy your legacy.

I am glad to see that some of the media is beginning to put 2 and 2 together, and paying attention to the answer. Yes, Obama is from Chicago. Does it mean everyone from Chicago is corrupt? Obviously not. Are their politicians corrupt? Well, not all, at least that we know of.

What we are finding out is that Obama was close to the IL Gov. He won’t admit it but there are pics of him and the Gov celebrating his winning bid to the Presidency. We are also finding out how close he was.

It appears when now-Gov Blog was running for Governor in 2002, Obama, Emmanuel, and Rezko were 3 of the gov’s 4 political advisors. Just don’t forget that Obama said he had very few relations with Rezko.

Oh yeah, it also appears that Obama is certainly for open government. If you post something to his transition website referring to anything associated with campaign reform, corruptions, ethics reform, or Gov Blog, it will be deleted. Check out this for more info.

I wonder how a president-elect is dealt with when accused of or indicted for fraud, corruption, and racketeering prior to the Electoral College voting, or between the Electoral College vote and Inauguration Day.
